Privacy Policy

Short version: your voice recording and your quiz answers stay on your phone. We only store what the streak and leaderboard need: your username, when your streak started and your best streak. We never sell your data or use it for ads. You can delete everything anytime in the app.

1. Who we are

Plizo is made by Isac Monsen Helland, Peragjerdet 22, 5308 Kleppestø, Norway ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: support@plizoapp.com.

2. What we collect

Account: an anonymous account ID created when you sign in (with Sign in with Apple, only the ID Apple gives us; we do not ask for your name or email).
Username and whether you chose to show it or stay anonymous on the leaderboard.
Streak data: when your current streak started, your best streak, and when you reset it.
Moderation data: reports you send and users you block.
Purchase status: whether you have an active subscription or free trial (handled by Apple and our payment provider; we never see your card details).

What stays on your phone only: your voice recording and your onboarding answers. They are never uploaded to us.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

To run the app: your streak, ranks, leaderboard and subscription (performance of our contract with you, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Because Plizo is about a personal habit, your streak data may reveal information about your sex life. We only process it with your explicit consent, which you give by tapping “Join the leaderboard” after reading this policy (GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)). You can withdraw it anytime by deleting your account.
To keep the leaderboard safe: moderating usernames and handling reports (our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Who can see your data

Other users only see your username (masked as *****h unless you choose to show it), your rank and your streak length.
Service providers who process data for us: Supabase (database, hosted in the EU) and Apple (payments and Sign in with Apple). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account, your username, streak data, reports and blocks are deleted right away. Backups are cleared within 30 days.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and withdraw consent. Delete your account in Settings › Delete account, or email us. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.no).

7. Age

Plizo is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor uses Plizo, contact us and we will delete the account.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and stored with access limited to what the app needs. The leaderboard is calculated on our servers so streaks can't be faked.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will tell you in the app.
